KRNAP - Krkonošský národní park


 

Krkonoše – tundra island in the middle of Europe - are unique mosaic of mountain ecosystems. The slopes of the mountains inhabit mountain forests and meadows, the upper parts of the flat ridges grows in mountain pine, alpine grasslands and peat communities. Species-rich Diamonds are also areas caused by glaciers in the past. For this uniqueness and landscape value in 1963 declared a national park. Administration is responsible for managing the Giant Mountains National Park, established in Vrchlabí.
